Tonight Belinda Carlisle, leadsinger of the Go-Go's, will play in the Paradiso in Amsterdam. A good moment to show a few photos of the ladies when the Go-Go's were performing in the Whisky a Go Go in April 1980. I was there on a trip for Muziekkrant Oor with music journalist Fer Abrahams scouting for upcoming groups. The Go-Go's were formed not long before then and the management was aware that the girls did not play too well yet, as Fer got his cassette confiscated by a scout who noticed he was recording the concert. Fer received a few dollars for the cassette and got his recorder returned after the show.
