NEPAL

In 1973 I went first time to Nepal by car and returned a few times, as Nepal and Afghanistan were most impressive countries of that trip. India was also impressive, but quite difficult to travel by car, and in Lucknow we narrowly escaped an over-excited crowd that didn't have bad intentions, but they quickly get out of control when confronted with people that are not from their world. The himalayans are so majestic (especially coming from super-flat Western Holland), they gave me a natural 'high' all the time (at the time I didn't even smoke cigarettes).
